Chris Burrell
Managing Director, Head of Asset Management
Chris Burrell is the Managing Director of Asset Management for Brio Real Estate, a real estate credit solutions provider delivering value to Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) investments across the globe.
In this role, Chris leads a dynamic team spanning three global regions (North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific), who are responsible for assisting BREDS in the management of its global real estate debt portfolio.
With more than 15 years of experience, Chris most recently served as a Managing Director of Trimont, where he led their global asset management function, supporting Blackstone and its BREDS business with day-to-day asset management. Prior to joining Trimont, he held a variety of leadership and asset management roles at Situs, Santander, the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Ltd and Cluttons LLP.
Chris earned a Master’s of Philosophy in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge, Downing College. He is also a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

David Fackler
Managing Director, Head of Structured Credit
David Fackler is the Managing Director of Structured Credit for Brio Real Estate, a real estate credit solutions provider delivering value to Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) investments across the globe.
In this role, David leads Brio’s Structured Credit division, overseeing underwriting, credit analysis, due diligence, acquisition, asset management and loan resolution. His team plays a key role in advancing Blackstone’s Public Investments and Private Loan Pool strategies by delivering strategic recommendations to enhance performance throughout the investment lifecycle.
With more than 15 years of experience, David most recently served as Managing Director at Trimont, where he led the Real Estate Securities and Private Loan Pool strategies, supporting Blackstone and BREDS with investment and asset management responsibilities. Prior to Trimont, he held key roles at DBRS Morningstar, Rialto Capital Management, Moody’s Investors Service and Wells Fargo Securities.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia.

Joseph (Joe) Hardy is the Managing Director and Head of Brio Homebuilder Solutions, a division within Brio Real Estate, a real estate credit solutions provider delivering value to Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) investments across the globe.
In this role, Joe is responsible for growing Brio’s homebuilder lending business, building and leading a high-performing team, and enhancing existing processes to improve efficiencies and client experience. Joe and his team will be focused on driving innovative growth opportunities and delivering exceptional solutions for our partners.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Joe most recently served as a consultant for a private homebuilder, overseeing their banking relationships and managing their capital markets activity and credit facilities. Prior to consulting, Joe held key leadership roles at Flagstar Bank, where he launched a de novo homebuilder finance group to support homebuilders and developers nationally; Texas Capital Bank and RBC Bank (USA).

In this role, Sabour is responsible for providing Brio leadership and the broader organization with strategic HR guidance, driving initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, elevating employee engagement and supporting sustainable growth.
With more than 15 years of experience, Sabour brings deep expertise in talent acquisition, leadership and development, talent management, compensation and benefits, and optimizing organizational performance through innovative HR strategies. Prior to joining Brio, she served in a variety of senior people leadership roles, most recently as the Vice President of People & Culture at Koddi. Throughout Sabour’s career, she has partnered closely with executive teams to support high–growth organizations, global workforces, and complex talent and organizational initiatives.

Robert Maddox is Chief Executive Officer for Brio Real Estate, a real estate credit solutions provider delivering value to Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) investments across the globe.
With more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate investment, Robert has a proven track record leading successful transactions, both in the U.S. and abroad. As CEO of Brio, he is responsible for driving the firm’s growth strategy and building the organization’s capabilities across key functions, including corporate, transaction and management services. Based in Dallas, Robert oversees Brio’s global team across the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Before joining Brio in June 2025, Robert held several leadership roles at RBC Capital Markets, most recently serving as Head of North America & Australia, Real Estate Capital Partners. Prior to that, he was a member of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Real Estate team.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

As a leader at Brio, David directs the company’s core business operations and unites teams around strategic initiatives that advance organizational growth and operational excellence.
With nearly 15 years of experience, David most recently served as a Managing Director for Blackstone’s Real Estate group, where he led the U.S. Core+ portfolio management team with a focus on Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT) and Blackstone Property Partners (BPP). Prior to joining Blackstone, David worked at Urban Edge Properties, Acadia Realty Trust and Site Centers, in a variety of real estate acquisition, asset management and corporate finance roles.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.

Andrew Miller is the Managing Director of Finance and Operations for Brio Real Estate, a real estate credit solutions provider delivering value to Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) investments across the globe.
In his role, Andrew leads Brio’s Private Loan Operations, Public Operations, and Corporate Finance functions, driving operational excellence and financial strategy across the organization. He oversees high‑impact initiatives that advance Brio’s growth and enhance the scale and reach of the BREDS business worldwide.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Andrew most recently served as Chief Operations Officer at Seneca Mortgage, where he helped shape the firm’s service model and supported the deployment of more than $500 million of capital. Prior to serving as COO, Andrew was responsible for transitioning Seneca’s 30-person special servicing team into a 400-person conventional servicer and oversaw the onboarding of nearly 250,000 loans.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Bucknell University and his MBA from New York University.
